Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using livepoll.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. livepoll.io is operated from Texas, United States.
The Service
livepoll.io is a live polling and audience engagement platform. We provide tools for presenters to create interactive sessions and for participants to respond in real time. The core features of livepoll.io are free to use with no feature paywalls. Optional enterprise services are available on a subscription basis.
Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address to create a presenter account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account to circumvent usage limits.
- Participants do not need an account to join a session.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use livepoll.io to:
- Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory
- Collect personal information from participants without their knowledge or consent
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
- Scrape or extract data from the service without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Content Ownership
You retain full ownership of the content you create on livepoll.io — your questions, session titles, and results.
By using livepoll.io, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
We will never sell, license, or exploit your content for purposes beyond operating livepoll.io.
Free and Paid Features
livepoll.io's core polling features are free forever — no feature paywalls, no artificial limits designed to frustrate you into paying. Every question type, every export, every participant feature is free. This is a permanent commitment, not a trial.
The only paid options are enterprise infrastructure services: White Label ($49/mo) removes livepoll.io branding and applies your own, and SSO / SAML ($99/mo) enables organizational authentication via Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure AD, or any SAML 2.0 provider. Both can be bundled for $129/mo. These are organizational administration services — they do not affect any polling feature for any presenter or participant.
Existing free features will never be moved behind a paywall.
Advertising
livepoll.io displays non-personalized ads on two participant-facing pages only: the session join page and the public results share page. Presenters never see ads — not during a live session, not anywhere in the presenter interface. By using livepoll.io, you acknowledge that ads may appear to your participants on these two pages.
AI Features
livepoll.io includes AI-powered features including an AI session builder and AI response summarization, powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Content you submit to AI features may be processed by Anthropic in accordance with their usage policies. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Data and Privacy
Your use of livepoll.io is also governed by our
Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Availability and Uptime
We strive to keep livepoll.io available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime or interruptions.
Disclaimer of Warranties
livepoll.io is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, livepoll.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may export your data before terminating your account.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of livepoll.io after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
